I bought new springs for my gear selector drum which seem correct ie they are arc shaped and diameter is correct does anyone know how to load them into selector ? Seems impossible, springs need to be compressed to assemble …. So difficult maybe springs need to be shortened? Does anyone know what length the should be ? Or any ideas how to assemble ? Be greatly appreciated any info

Thanks for pic it is helpful, I have since reassembled but 1 st gear not selecting …… it’s frustrating, would be good to communicate with someone who has experience with these type of gearbox
