Hi guys! :)
As I've told you.... actually, training it's in progress......
.... and I've done about 700 km.... :)
BUT.... I've tried to push engine over 8000 rpm..... :|
... N O T H I N G! I mean nothing!
Carburetor setting? I'm thinking at carburetor, just because I've put into an heavier fuel floater (9 gr.)....
..... instead of the original fuel floater (6,5 gr.)....

Well Now I've an original 6,5 gr fuel floater! I took it from an original carburetor Dell''Orto PHBH 28 MD!!!

Here my "old" and very dirty 6,5 gr fuel floater, and a "new" (used) fuel floater in good conditions!

Hi guys! :D

Well..... Ready to search engine problem: Why my engine stop at about 7500/8000 rpm? :|
Maximum power it's at 9500 rpm!!!
Image

Leave lateral fairings.....
.... here we are!
Chance 1)
I'm leaving out a 9 gr fuel floater and setting an original 6,5 gr into my Dell'Orto carburetor PHBH 28 MD

- 1st Unscrew metal fix bands of carburetor
Image

Image

- 2nd Unscrew the carburetor bottom external screw (14 mm) for leave out maximum jet
Image

- 3rd Maximum jet in my hands! (Dell'Orto nr. 155 = 0,155 mm). *thumb*
Image

Now I can leave out bottom basin of carburetor.
Here I can change fuel floater: leaving out a 9 gr fuel floater and setting an original 6,5 gr .

See you next episode!

Hi guys! :D

Searching engine problem: Why my engine dosn't run over 7500/8000 rpm? :|

Chance 2)

Maybe too much oil in air filter? *idea*
Image

No! Just a little oil leak from air filter..... Uff! *oh* *oh* *oh*
Image

Result?
.....
.....
Uhm.... nothing!
Again... and again.....my engine, doesn't run over 7500/8000 rpm in 6th gear.....

Ok Joachim..... we got a problem!!!!! *SOS*
I think that you have reason.... maybe it's APTS valve! *danke*

Hi Joachim!
No...... I mean.... :?
.... about 8000 rpm in 6th gear,
.... about 8300 rpm in 5th gear.....
.... and so.... until at 2th gear where I reach about 9000 rpm....
Lacks power!
About chainweel and sprocket, are in original dimensions and teeth.....
Not enough power..... I think that you have reason about APTS valve.
I'll try to take apart it next weeks...... My God! *oh*

Ciao

you may better start with the 'easy' things ;)

Your engine has the metall cover over the valve, right?
Did the system work without the cover?
So you may take it away and rev the engine up to see what happens.
Sorry, but i did not know how thw pneumatic system works :?

Good luck, Joachim <leaking water pump and engine case>

Ciao Marco,

ciao e grazie mille...
