Re: Gilera XR1 125, 1988!!!! Trovata!!!! Finally!!!!
did you somehow remove the old stickers without destroying them?
I would like to have a model for making new ones for the GFR swing arm.
Are yours printed on silver foil?
ciao Joachim

Well.... I used an hairdryer to heat stickers, and after that I remove it using lightly a cutter.
I've stretched it very slowly and so total deformations of sticker it's quite limited...
After that I fixed sticker on a smooth paper support and I've scanned it with a standard scanner (300 dpi).
The scanned image was imported in an Autocad file (.dwg extension).
With the help of orthogonal gear of Autocad I straightened the sticker shape.
After that I handed the file to a graphics laboratory.
So they provided to print my new sticker on a plastic foil (color silver on both sides....).
If you want I can send you my .dwg file and you can convert it the right graphic format.
You are welcome!
Ciao

Well.... Would you like to send me by e-mail some pics of stickers that you need?
You must to take pics, if it's possible, with a "macro" function of your camera, and orthogonal at stickers surface!
Maybe I can help you!

Unfortunatelly the sticker is on a part of the swing arm which is not flat
Beside this it's from chrome foil, so i could not get an good picture with the flashlight.
Maybe i should try it again on daylight conditions
ciao joachim

hi Joachim,
put 2 spotlights on the sticker. (each side one so you don't have shades) and close the flashlight of your camera.

Re: Gilera XR1 125, 1988!!!! Trovata!!!! Finally!!!!
Hi guys!
Here how to fit an original couple of Paioli up-side down forks on a Gilera XR1.
Part 1):

Just fit first fork on anchoring plates (usually it’s not necessary to tighten screws).

After that fit second fork too….

To be continued!
Ciao

Hi guys!
Here how to fit an original couple of Paioli up-side down forks on a Gilera XR1.
Part 3):
Fit front wheel between forks and insert front iron pin.
After that use two tools to lock iron pin: a 6 mm Allen key and a 19 mm hole key.

Tighten balancing two keys. Leave the speedometer cable with a smooth curve (very important!).

To be continued!
